just got back. they didn't play sunny, unfortunately. but they did play life's a pigsty and otherwise, pretty much all the 'usual ones' from this tour. finished with first of the gang... also played irish blood, ask, some girls are bigger..., girlfriend in a coma... several from the new album, etc...

pretty good concert, but not the best one i've seen. my favourite remain at the london palladium i think, and even roskilde festival a few years ago was, not a better concert as such, but a better choice of songs. nevertheless, it certainly wasn't a bad concert. just wish he'd played more of the songs i like. but nevermind.

morrissey wasn't particularly chatty, i prefer when he talks more between songs, but the band were definitely on good form, no doubt. no drama like last night at the first danish concert with a guy being thrown out, it was just pretty straightforward - another night on the job, not great, but alright.

i took some pics and filmed a little bit, might upload later.

It's been a while for me since the last concert so i really don't know what's going on with the roadies. Didn't see Julia. Can anyone explain who were the "cat people"? hahaha they looked pretty funny with the kitty masks.
He threw 2 shirts and the band also gave away loads of stuff to the crowd. They all seemed very happy.

I stayed after the show 1 1/2 along with three young girls to try and catch Morrissey. But thesecurity folks would not let us close to his bus and we only caught a glimpse of him before he disappeared in the bus with the curtains drawn.

Anyways, had a blast, but I´ll go to work in 4 hours so...bedtime!

I don't know Kris because I'm older, but we had the same music teacher from elementary school through high school. My dad and the teacher are friends and when my dad told him I had seen Kris play here in April our teacher said he had no idea who Morrissey was. HA (But DID know Kris had played with Gwen Stefani! Great show in Copenhagen. Again packed like in Odense. But the Odense gig was a little better, more club-like.

A new backdrop was "sported" in Copenhagen. The sailer was gone.

Moz in fine form again. Sported a brown suit. Threw two of his shirts to his adoring fans. The crowd was really good and sang along to all the songs which seemed to please the Mozfather a lot. He didn't chat that much with the audience.

Still seasick, but yet still docked with a fine version of Life Is A Pigsty. After the incident in Odense Seasick, Still Yet Docked were left out in the dressing room. Sadly.

The band was in an exceptionally fine form. Played very well.

Morrissey, please come back to Cam...Copenhagen!

And luckily no jackass felt the need to diss him at this concert.

What has really amazed me on this tour - other than Morrissey, of course - is the band. Solomon Walker kicks ass! The way he carries the bass and "punishes" it with the plectar is fantastic. He knows how to play a very decent punk-bass and it really fits the music. I think the band seems more complete now than it ever has. Matt Walker is very funky too, and of course Boz - what an amazing musical leader on stage. Fantastic.

Also, I loved the setlist. I think the musical highlights at both concerts were "The Loop" and "Why don't you find out for yourself." Fabulous.

    ENCORE:

    20) First of the Gang to Die

Both Morrissey and the band were in absolutely great form but, sadly, from where I was standing, the crowd only really seemed into it during "Irish Blood", "First of the Gang" and a couple of the Smiths songs. Audience enthusiasm was particularly low during "Pigsty", which was received with complete indifference by practically everybody in the venue. People were either chatting with each other or just standing there with the arms down their sides. It was a bit embarrassing.
Having said all this, I did notice a little section of the crowd (to the left of the stage) who were completely bonkers all through the concert and Morrissey DID return to this group of fans quite a few times to shake hands with them.

Signed vinyls were sold at the venue.
