  • Writing a song about master song writers who are individually unique singers is not talent.
Your song sucks darling. Your lyric and voice say nothing. Turn off the light.

    easy listening

it's a song wrote NOThing like a , or comparing,
    with the Smiths original

so don't moan about it, it's a new song, with
Morrissey named in, and the Smiths songtitle
somehow took on loan, but better had be named

'it's a song not for anyone'

OTOH it's without any passion, which you expect
if you try to get some attention using a Smiths
song, a very popular Smiths song

  • At first I thought oh no! not another song that sounds like a tv advert. After a few minutes, I thought oh no! I'm beginning to think it sounds ok.

  • What a crappy song and an annoying video to match. Yes - high quality and quasi-artsy, but I've seen bile present itself with more style and charisma. I hope Morrissey's finding some inspiration in all of this - if this is the case, at least we can thank this person for helping him to write some refreshing songs full of clever hatred and apprehension toward our future.

  • I'm almost embarrassed for this gal...

I love creative types who are too clever for their own good...they know nothing of self-depricating humor and work very hard trying to prove to their fellow creative types that...they're creative.

    Insincere. Contrived. Embarrassing.

She has a nice, dainty voice...but her look is atrocious.

    And the lyrics...ouch...

I bet her four closest friends, and the four closest friends of the video producer, all raved about this song and video. That's cool. But be careful when you try to sell it.

You get shit like what I'm writing.

  • Rae's one of Canada's greatest songwriters - and this number also refs Leonard Cohen & Kraftwerk. He's been at it for a long time now, constantly touring; heard this song 4 years ago with a banjo and acoustic - glad to see he has talented friends who are making vids for him.
