from http://www.petshopboys.co.uk Question 411: I couple of days ago i read your notes around "Miserablism", which I Love, on the new edition of "Behaviour". I think this song is not the only one related with the Morrisey persona: "How can you ..." is near to the acussing lyrics of "We hate when our friends become succesful" of Morrisey's Your Arsenal (92). Also, is not coincidence that Electronic accepts "Getting away with it", basically for the past of Johny Marr... What you think about that? p.s. I don't like "Disco Potential" but I prefer it than Bono impersonating Pet Shop Boys sound on "Discotheque". Well, a "pure rock band" doing "Elevation" is very decadent, don't you find? Answer: I thought "Discoteque" wasn't great. I like "One", though. Don't think there's any Morrissey link to HCYETBTS but "Getting away with it" I imagined being sung from Morrissey's point of view. Of course, I didn't write all the lyrics, Bernard wrote some. Neil Tennant

A horrific crash at the crossroads of fandom. (Score:2, Funny)
Is there anyone else out there that loves the aforementioned combination of artists and is comfortable with themselves? I am glad I am. (I'm going to go have a six-pack now and calm down.)

Crossroads (Score:1)
I would take out U2 and replace it with The Housemartins. (talk about a clash!)
I don't care if they beg, borrow or steal from one another, as long as the lyrics are good...I'm in!
