I work in a Central London HMV and thought it was worth mentioning to you that the Region One DVD of !Oye Esteban! was released on the 15th December, and costs £14.99. I only mention this because it may save people in the UK the hassle of ordering it from the US and having to pay ludicrous postal charges.

  • Shame you couldn't have let us know this before Christmas.
But thanks, I shall be heading over to HMV soon.

  • Does this actually just mean is that HMV in central London have received some import copies from the USA? Region 1 discs don't generally tend to be released over here. I'd guess a UK release of this compilation may be unlikely. EMI could presumably release a compilation of early Morrissey videos, but as they didn't release Southpaw Grammar the videos for this period could be a problem.

  • I understand that to play a region 1 DVD in the UK I need a multi-region DVD player, but is that all? Do I also have to have a certain type of television as well? (- one that is NTSC compatible??)

    Thanks.
Sorry, but I'm a bit of a dumbo!

  • No, it's a mistake. It does say Region 2 initially, but if you click the link for more product information it then says Region 1: US Import.
