Oslo concert sold out within a couple of hours
The show at Sentrum Scene, Oslo soon became sold out.. There may be some tickets sold at a later date (..reserved tickets not picked up) This is great considering that norway quite indifferent about mozz´and the smiths music. This happened with hardly no advertising, just speculation in the press a few days before the tickets went out on sale.

Standing tickets for the Gothenburg Gig sold out in less than three minutes
The Swedes are indeed mad for Moz. Not only did YATQ went up as no.1 at the Swedish charts as the only country except for Malta. The standing tickets for the biggest venue of the ROT-tour outside of the UK sold out at all box offices in less than three minutes even though there was a strict limit of six tickets per person.

  • I had absolutely no problems getting tickets this morning.Wonderfully fast connection through top class broadband. No computer crashes, no apparent "tout" problems either. Typical Swedish effeciency...WONDERFUL.....Tack Sverige!

  • It's quite an exaggeration to say Norway is indifferent towards Morrissey. YATQ peaked at number 5 in the album charts, and he has quite a cult following here.

  • I had the really annoying experience of going through all the motions of buying a ticket, only to be told that my credit card didn't work. After several attempts with different cards, I finally spotted some small writing saying that foreign cards couldn't be used. At this time it was 9.15, so I was sure I had missed the boat despite getting up early and logging in far in advance to make sure. Luckily, I called and managed to get standing tickets for both Malmo and Gothenburg, even at that time. Presumably somebody didn't confirm their booking, because the lady on the phone started by telling me that Gothenburg standing tickets were sold out before she suddenly noticed that there were tickets available after all.

Six? You mean only six? Damn. I guess the usual crew of about 20 people are going to be disappointed. Looks like you'll have to get about 4 of those people to buy tickets. What is considered 'strict' in Sweden? I mean, do prisoners have to stay locked up about half the time? Are people only allowed 15 packets of mayo with their fries at the local McDonalds? Do businesses have deals such as "buy one get three free"?

    I'm gonna write a letter.

  • "This is great considering that norway quite indifferent about mozz´and the smiths music." Where on earth did you get that from?! Couldn't disagree more with you. Fact is that this will only be the third time that we get a chance to see Moz here in Norway - and have had to travel abroad for gigs. Indifference....?!

  • You all better believe that I feel complete and utter contentment with myself regarding the fact that I queud outside the ticketoffice in the freezing swedish cold for hours yesterday morning!
It was all worth it and I will continue to do so anytime Mozzer comes to Sweden!
Now, how many days is it left until April 1st?

  • I just checked the ticketstatus at Ticnet.se and according to them there are several tickets still available to all three of Mozzers Swedengigs including the one in gothenburg. Doesn't this make this topic a bit dodgy? Or have I failed to understand?
