  • but i expect you to play five nights in New York City in a 'fan' friendly venue. And the US set list better be drop dead awesome considering the disrespect to North American fans. You could at least mentions some plans or your desires for US dates--if they exist or not. this is just getting annoying

  • Complaining American fans about at the moment! These should be good gigs if the sound is spot on, (G-Mex can have terrible acoustics sometimes), I guess it was Tony's performance last week which promoted Moz to play there! ;)

Also these will probably sell out very quickly, like the rest of the Manchester dates, but will imagine close to the time that it'll be easy to pick tickets up for this one.

  • I should get to see Moz 6 times in December. Lucky me with more money than sense!!!

However, I will not give the touts a penny if I miss the Gmex Tickets.

Join me brothers and sisters, boycott the tout Scum and wish upon them terminal diseases.

  • another boring set-list and mroe boring ringleader songs?

    No thanks, Moz.

If he wants to obsessively play his dull new album, he can play them to a rapidly diminishing crowd.

As someone who stuck by morrissey during the 97-2004 period, I am on the verge of ignoring his future output altogether.

Morrissey is not the man he once was.

  • Can't you think of anything positive? Like maybe he and the band have decided to use the time during this break to practise a new set list. It's at least possible, isn't it? But complaining about something before it happens doesn't show wisdom.

  • Feck it. I'm going to The Pogues in Dublin instead. I went last year and it was brilliant. After 3 gigs on this Ringleaders tour I'm longing for the Ronseal effect. Moz won't do that. I'm bored. He just stands there now looking bored too.

  • It's time to call in a favour at work in order to buy tickets; another adrenaline soaked morning on the phone beckons. God damn it, I love you so much Morrissey, but you don't half make it tough on my credit card.
Is it possible that this hasn't been announced by the ticket sites or the venue in order to deter touts? For instance, the hardcore buggers will be scouring venue/promoter announcements, not looking at individual artists websites. Mind you, the NME will have picked this up by next week, so I doubt we'll be tout free for very long.
I really feel for you guys in the States. I know how annoyed some of you must be trying to work out if it's worth waiting for an announcement or biting the bullet and flying to Europe. And then there are those of you who can't afford to travel all this way ... All I can say is, he must have his reasons. Maybe 2007 will be your year.

  • My chum is best mates with an ex-radio 1 DJ who is Manchester born and bred, who played in one of the most influential Manchester bands to come from the town, and who generally knows what is going on.

Basically, NOTHING is even vaguely confirmed, and Moz's UK tour promoters know nothing. So, don't book any flights just yet you non-uk people!

I trust this source as for the last few years he has always told me a week or so before the news has broken on here.

I hate the station, so refuse to name it. But it's now being officially publicised.

  • So that the "Manchester Crowd" can see him. This comes from inside the Moz camp. He was dissapointed that many of his large base of Manchester fans were unable to get tickets earlier in the year, as fans from accross the UK (and world) bought on-line. I am informed that they have been purposely scheduled as close to Christmas as possible, after conceeding that they had to make tickets available in the usual manner (to a worldwide market). Arranging them at Christmas (and playing London and other (?) in the week) is hoped to keep everyone happy.
