Post Millennial / Fiona Dodwell: "Morrissey and the misguided outrage of his critics" (August 29, 2021)

Talk about lazy and sloppy. She gets a basic fact wrong in the 2nd sentence! "as part of a replacement for Slipknot, who has canceled their appearance". It is clearly and correctly stated in the article that she is responding to that it was Nine Inch Nails who canceled. Morrissey and Slipknot...

I hope she's joking. I mean, I like Kirsty MacColl as much as the next guy, but that is laughable...

National Review: Music for the Masses: The Debut of Pop Fascism by Armond White (Aug. 20, 2021)

The thing about Armond White, even if I disagree with almost everything he has to say, he is a smart, independent thinker and a generally good writer. Not like that hack Fiona Dodwell...

"Johnny Marr says The Smiths had a “blind spot” of being obsessed with media and notoriety" - NME (July 5, 2021)

"Johnny Marr says The Smiths had a “blind spot” of being obsessed with media and notoriety" - NME (July 5, 2021)

Why all the Johnny bashing?! The Smiths were Morrissey and Marr. A perfect partnership. The reason the band broke up is all the stress that Marr was in trying to be in charge of the music AND the management of the Smiths. If they worried less about the press and trying to manage themselves, and...

Morrissey Central "Turning The Inside Out." (July 5, 2021)

Not verboten, just off-topic. The topic was his mother's death and his own mortality, not the nationality of random mentally-ill killers.

The good thing about his nephew asking the questions is that there are thoughtful questions about the new songs, Morrissey's mother, etc, and Moz answers those with thoughtfulness and wit. The bad think about SER asking the questions is that he indulges all of Moz's worst political opinions.

He's not wrong about the Gallaghers or their shite music or reactionary politics though, is his? (Also, don't tell Morrissey that he counts as a gay artist! He's a humasexual! :ROFLMAO: )

Here's a freaking brilliant piece of writing on Noel and Co. Moz doesn't escape unscathed either:
