Morrissey A-Z: "Kick the Bride Down the Aisle"

I really like it, good melody, cruel, funny and melancholic lyrics.

    Morrissey A-Z: "Journalists Who Lie"

    What tune? There is none!

    Morrissey A-Z: "Journalists Who Lie"

    One of his worst songs.

    Morrissey A-Z: "Jack the Ripper"

I am probably the only one to prefer to studio version and I still don’t understand why he never sung the last lines in concert. I have to admit though that the 2019 performances of the song were fantastic, especially because of the lights and smoke that oddly worked perfectly well.

Morrissey A-Z: "I've Changed My Plea To Guilty"

Very nice song; I adore the Skeeter Davis sample.

Morrissey A-Z: "It's Not Your Birthday Anymore"

I don't what Morrissey tried on that one - a stadium Bono song? The vocal performance is good, but I find most of the lyrics clumsy and I can't say I am fond of the music.

Morrissey A-Z: "It's Hard To Walk Tall When You're Small"

Whyte: really enjoy this raw song, not affected by the Quarry (over) production, sounds almost like a demo. One of the few "rocker" songs by the band that I enjoy. Corbin: boring. I really don't understand the need to suddenly play it live.

    Morrissey A-Z: "Istanbul"

I really like this one, but I would have preferred "The child as mine" rather than "The Kid as mine".

    Morrissey A-Z: "Israel"

If this song deserves 10/10, how do you rate Well I Wonder, There is a Light or last Night I Dreamt?

Morrissey A-Z: "Irish Blood, English Heart"

I still prefer the 2002 live version to the Quarry one, but a great solo song.

    Morrissey A-Z: "Interesting Drug"

I remember buying the cassette single in Oxford, taking the bus back and rushing to my room to listen to it - I think it is the very first Morrissey single I bought just when it was out. I liked the song, but I was astonished by Such a little thing AND Sweet and Tender hooligan, which I had...

Salle Pleyel, Paris - confirmed cancelled - no mention of the online event scheduled for December (April 23, updated May 4, 2021)

Concerts are still not authorized in France and at this stage, nobody knows when they will be authorized again, so it is not exactly a surprise that the Pleyel show is postponed.

Morrissey A-Z: "(I'm) The End of the Family Line"

Your post confirms to me how personal the appreciation is: I think the opposite as Kill Uncle is typically the album I listen to in full or not at all, because I appreciate it a lot as a whole, but the songs taken separately sound much weaker.

I really like it, poignant and funny at the same time.

For Britain YT: "We're proud to stand with Morrissey" (April 20, 2021)

Official Facebook Peter Katsis: Simpsons Responses (April 19, 2021)

The real cash grab would have been accepting a Smiths reunion just like in the Simpsons episode.

Official Facebook Peter Katsis: Simpsons Responses (April 19, 2021)

The end is obviously outrageous and even if I disagree with most of the recent critics towards Morrissey, I am sure The Simpsons could have made a more subtle parody, it would have been much stronger.

    Morrissey A-Z: "I'm Not a Man"

One of his best solo songs, amazing.

Morrissey A-Z: "If You Don't Like Me, Don't Look at Me"

Erm, no, the title is ridiculous - sounds like what I wrote when I was thirteen.

Morrissey A-Z: "If You Don't Like Me, Don't Look at Me"

Nice little B Side, but worked really well live in NY in 2019 with the weird green spots.
