Johnny Marr honoured in Kildare (Nov. 2, 2018)

Probably not a mistake but certainly contrived. There were 17 UK (and Ireland?) singles originally. 'Hand In Glove' did not make the Top 40. However, the reissues of 'This Charming Man', 'How Soon Is Now' and the single release of 'There Is A Light...' at the time of the 'Best..' albums did...

Vicar In A Tutu - Instrumental Demo

Wow! Thank you Irregular Regular and "a very kind person" for this. Absolutely stunning! The musicianship and imagination in The Smiths really did set them apart at that point in time. Imagine being in the same room when Johnny Marr first came up with this and then when Andy Rourke and Mike...

"Vicar In A Tutu" (live Centennial Hall, London, Ontario, July 30, '86) posted on Spotify

I'm intrigued as to how they are going to provide an unreleased live version of 'Some girls.....' as well. Not too long to find out now. I'm assuming that the two extra tracks (if they happen) will be unreleased live versions of 'Panic' and 'Ask'.

super rare Irish How Soon Is Now translucent 12"

The translucent vinyl in Irish pressings was discussed in this thread in July 2015: https://www.morrissey-solo.com/threads/has-anyone-got-any-info-on-this.131601/ This is the relevant comment substantiated by the writer from 'Record Collector': "Actually, these Irish pressings are legitimate...

    Shakespeare's sister 12'' white label

The stickers would indicate that it is a genuine factory test pressing. I've never seen one like this before but who's to say? A plain white label of 'Shakespeare's Sister' is worth around £30.00??? Obviously, someone is willing to take a punt on it.....

"The Boy With The Thorn..." demo 7" confirmed for Record Store Day - The Future Heart

Here's a BBC News item about the single with apparent confirmation of a 2018 'The Queen Is Dead' reissue campaign: "A prime example of what Record Store Day is all about - The Smiths releasing a previously unheard version of one of their best singles. The limited edition 7" also contains an...

New Albert Finney sleeve for "The Boy With..." demo 7"

Dinked means that there no centre to the record, or rather that it has been left open. Like a single issued for jukebox use (and like many records released overseas*). A centre adaptor would be required to play it on a turntable. * apologies to non UK readers - I haven't phrased that very well.

"The Queen Is Dead" 12" vinyl (2017, Warner Bros. UK) listed on Discogs - Help needed

Possibly but 'The Queen Is Dead' 12" & 7" Picture Disc seem to fit the Record Store Day format better than a more general release. More likely the planned releases are expanded/box set versions of 'The Queen Is Dead' album. Why next year, though? Surely, a 30th anniversary type of release in...

"The Boy With The Thorn..." demo 7" confirmed for Record Store Day - The Future Heart

As well as starting on the drums, the drums in general seem higher in the mix to my cauliflower ears. I seem to remember the background story being that The Smiths went into the studio to record some demos and 'The Boy....' came out so well that only a minimal amount of overdubs etc. were...

"The Boy With The Thorn..." demo 7" confirmed for Record Store Day - The Future Heart

The former cover art could feasibly be on the back of the sleeve, I suppose.....or maybe it hadn't been cleared at the time Morrissey posted it. I think I prefer the new photo, as well. A really great shot of a young Albert Finney.

    exclamation mark sticker?

How many people supported Mike Joyce's claim at the trial?

From The Times Newspaper, Friday 12th December 1996 - taken from http://www.cemetrygates.com/vault/news/court.html After a seven-day hearing, Judge Weeks said he preferred the evidence of Joyce and Rourke, who had dropped out of the action after accepting £83,000. Describing the "credibility"...
