I'm glad 'I'll never be anybody's hero now' is among these lists. It was the song that caused me to start this thread. I was just thinking how good it was the other day. It gets stuck in my head, but I never tire of it. Great vocal performance from Mr. Moz.

I LOVE YOUR PROFILE PHOTO OF NAKED!

But your choices in songs are poor. I don't agree.

Ok. Well, thanks for identifying my pic, anyway. One of my very favourite films.

The Kid's A Looker. Ok yeah, not his best song, and certainly not one of my favourites, but I do think this is underrated. It's a pretty good song to sing along to. The la la's obviously annoy a lot of people. I wasn't sure at first either, but I think the reason for that is because Morrissey's la la's on the BBC version are somewhat flat. I've changed my mind about a lot of Morrissey's songs after hearing them on record, and I really think that this song will be one of those.

1. Sunny
2. Ammunition
3. Mute Witness
4. I Am Two People
5. The Edges Are No Longer Parallel
6. To Me You Are A Work Of Art
7. I Knew I Was Next
8. There Speaks A True Friend
9. Asian Rut
10. Papa Jack

Is sunny underrated? I always liked that song and assumed everyone did.
I had a parrot named Sunny though so maybe thats why I liked it.

I'm not sure what constitutes underrated because I really love Southpaw. It's on my favourite list of his solo stuff.

With not an inconsiderable amount of predictability, I point people towards the biggest ever poll of Morrissey-sung songs.

Carried out pre-YOR (can't find the subsequent one) we assessed 234 songs. Sunny and Southpaw both got the same score, and were in the top 100 so can't really be coinsidered under-rated. The songs listed below were the worst ones (200-234), so if you like any of those, they could clearly be considered under-rated.

Maladjusted has a distinct lack of love :-(
It's my favourite album!

I've become obsessed with You're The One For Me, Fatty over the past couple of days, and I'm sure it's not a song that is always hailed as one of his greats. Thus, much under-rated. In addition to this, the majority of his '95 and '97 output! :D

EDIT: The Kill Uncle version of There Is A Place In Hell For Me And My Friends. People always talk about the live version being great, but the album version is the definition of a beautiful Morrissey song. Also most of that album is great!
