A friend told me about this TV show 'Flight of the Conchords', about a two man band from New Zealand. It's on BBC 4, Wednesday's @ 10pm. Filmed in nyc. My friend and I love it. Funniest show i've seen in a long time.

a gr8 show the 1st season being better than the 2nd though
also, back in March, when I visited New Zealand I remember that most of the Kiwis i mentioned the show to had no idea what i was talking about

I don't know anybody else who has heard of this show, let alone seen it. Even a colleague I work with who hails from New Zealand hasn't got a clue. This surprises me as tickets for their UK tour sold out in under 5 mins! (I think even the touts realised how popular the shows would be and bought all the tickets)

I luckily managed to get tickets for the Manchester show and am looking forward to Kristeen Schaal supporting. Shame Murray can't join them, i do love him. Saw Rhys Darby last year, so sweet and funny.

Would urge anyone to watch this show (which i do on a daily basis). Jemaine is pure comedy gold.

Anyway, im off mutha' uckas. To continue building that fence out of toothbrushes

I was gutted to find out the shows sold out in 5 minutes flat. And they put an extra one on at Wembley Arena. Which went in 5 minutes!
On the other hand Jerry Sadowitz at Leicester Square theatre had approx 100people in it the other day?!?

But the badly burned Albanian boy from the day before.

Grumbled Albi quite racistly.
"No Albi you didn't kill me with your dragon flames.
I crawled to safety, but you did leave me very badly disfigured."
Laughed the boy.

"Why are you crying so?"
"I'm crying because all of those horrible people
Chased me into this scary cave.
I think it's because I'm so racist.
Get your hand off my tail you'll make it dirty."

"No Albi, it's not because of your racism that they chased you here,
They chased me here to, when I became all disfigured like this.

And that made Albi cry a single tear,
All the colors of the rainbow,
And suddenly, he wasn't racist anymore.

It's my favorite show. I heard a rumor they only filmed about 5 episodes and quit saying they simply ran out of ideas for the recent season. Anyone confirm this?

Yes I was under the impression that a 3rd season wasn't happening. You can tell that clearly the 2nd season was not as good as the 1st season and I think that is bc they were already running thin on material.

If you listen to their bbc radios sessions they did years back, which are amazing, you will hear most of the bits they have used in the past 2 seasons. So yeah, they probably are truely out of material at this point.

I love the show, love the guys. I have been lucky enough to see them live twice. I hope they continue making comedy and music together in the future. If not as the Conchords than in another project.
