Another delightful festival performer that we are very much looking forward too: Edwyn Collins is back! After his long and severe illness, the indie icon (Orange Juice, “A Girl Like You”) is about to release a brand-new album in September. We hope, of course, that Collins will be performing his Berlin Festival gig with just a little help of his friends, namely Franz Ferdinand, The Drums, The Smiths and many more who recorded the album with him.

For many musicians truly a horror scenario, for Edwyn Collins a glorious comeback with an incredible array of all-star musicians: after severe illness, the indie icon (Orange Juice, “A Girl Like You”) lost his motor skills. Yet Collins knew how to handle his creative outbursts: instead of writing songs on his guitar, he used a Dictaphone. For transferring his ideas to music, Franz Ferdinand, The Drums, The Cribs, Johnny Marr, The Magic Numbers, and Roddy Frame were excited to help out. A brand-new album is due in September. We are thrilled to welcome Collins at Berlin Festival. Which members of the super group will he bring along to Berlin Festival?
also on stage : gang of four beside others
