Look what's happening in Paris the last couple of days and today. I am 100% sure it's pro people's protests against goverments restrictions for anti vaxxers.

You actually think he's been glued to the French news in Vegas?

They have protests all the time.

And he didn't say it in a serious way.

Morrissey from day one has always been pro people anti government, regardless of what you think of his politics, or if even cares about the politics, he is going to side with the people.

He won’t...
that’s my prediction ....

When you go to the Ceasars Palace website it says this, The show will serve as an intimate, invigorating dive into his expansive career from his early days to the new album. So I would assume he's going to showcase a track or two from Bonfire, unless they think the new album is IANADOAC?

How naïve do you have to be if you generally apply this only to a country that is prone to revolt. It's about Corona and compulsory vaccination for all. But since you don't want to be vaccinated, I can hardly expect understanding for my anger.

@Nerak: I dont like this kind of "humour" at that point in time. The protests were even stronger over this weekend and he knew what he said.

He didn't get to tour Dog & Bonfire hasn't been released, so it's probably Dog.

-Only browsed a couple pages of comments but I was there in the front last night and not sure what to expect given the last year and a half of negative media attention, no shows, band member rotation, etc.

I think the show was a triumph - the band was visibly having fun, the new drummer, Alain, and Solomon did great and the theater had a sizable crowd. It seemed like people had a great time save the couple that got thrown out next to me toward the end of the set.

More to come tonight

Looks like the pandemic has put a few people off, last night was the only night that that had sold most of the tickets available and that was only 75% of the overall capacity. What are the restrictions in the US at the moment as they've been relaxed in the UK as long as you can prove vaccination status or test results.

Also, this is the same blurb they used for they shows before the pandemic and rescheduling many moons ago when Dog was the "new" album.

And his reason for not actually saying he's against vaccines or masks & only referring to it while introducing a song he's been singing for years in front of the same backdrop he's used for years is what?

I am a statistics geek. For comparison purposes during lockdown I tallied songs I’d heard from Morrissey in the 39 shows I’ve seen since October 2012 and compared the tally to the songs I heard at 32 shows I saw from U2 from 1987 to 2009. Somewhere around my 30th Moz show I’d already heard TWICE as many songs in his catalog than I’d ever heard by U2 over 30+ years. For those complaining about variety you’re off your heads. It’s never the same show twice, which is why I keep going.

Last night was however the first show I did not hear EDILS. Somewhat surprised by that but happy with the variety we got otherwise.

I like the covers, especially Lady Willpower. I think he chose them not only because he liked the artist or songs but because they suit his voice. I also think the INADOAC songs suit his voice incredibly well. IMO this and the last tour are the strongest his voice has been in the short time I’ve seen him. I expected him to be rusty last night given the long break but he wasn’t at all. I was close enough to hear him off mic a few times and it is incredible. I can’t fathom what video clips people saw to say anything else, but it wasn’t the show I saw.

Looking forward to 4 more!

preshow videos I remember: tiny Tim tiptoe through the tulips, GoA Shum, Billy you’re my friend Gene Pitney, the sound of the crowd human league, fade to grey visage.
Was there an opener? What time did he take stage? We’re trying to figure out the pre-party. ☺️

Is France more prone to revolt than other countries, are they naturally that unstable?
It's about Corona and compulsory vaccination for all.
Maybe, so what.
But since you don't want to be vaccinated,
But I do.
I can hardly expect understanding for my anger.
I think you just want to be angry about something you feel strongly about.

How do you know that he knows what he said? the usual program on solo is that he doesn’t know what he’s saying, and should stick to singing and performing like a seal for us.

Standby for the usual abuse for saying it’s not full 🤨😳

You ignore all the arguments in favour of my assumption and want to claim a certain customary right from the backdrop. We don't get along here and you don't have to understand me either.

Morrissey's fanbase has taken a large hit in the UK (and a considerable but smaller one elsewhere) since he voiced his support for right-wing politics. As a reviewer said at last year's Wembley concert, thousands of his previous fans have chosen to socially distance from him. So, reduced sales will probably be at least partly due to that. However, I don't know if he's done a residency at this place (or somewhere nearby) before. This might just be the number of people he would always have expected across five dates here.

Edit - whoops, just noticed you're talking about the fact that tickets had sold but it seemed ticket holders didn't turn up. Yes, I guess that could be pandemic related. Don't know what's happening with the virus in the US just now but guess pretty similar to the UK.

Im only going off what the the post from earlier that shows the crowd, it’s the same here, went to see Sleeper the other week which was sold out but it wasn’t as rammed as last time I saw them at the Ritz, so I reckon some people aren’t going even though they have tickets

No. I understand.
Cro must be in the queue, or in bed. It is Sunday after all, the dole don’t make him get up early to actively seek work on a Sunday

standby for
More sold out Moz shows 💰💰💰
Skinny and Surface trolls not well known fans like Mr Chardarse with 0 Boxsets or Japanese rarities

Why do you think he's not openly talking about vaccines & masks when there are restrictions in the UK & the USA that apply directly to him?

If he's going to explicitly support anti-vaxx violence in France?

Pandemic restrictions here in the US vary wildly from none to some - with differences from state to state, or county to county within each state, all the way down to the particular business or venue in your town; and because of the politics that have become intertwined in any behavior restrictions, enforcement is the exception from what I’ve seen.

For instance, here in Vegas I’ve seen casino staff put masks in people‘s hands as opposed to admonishing them or asking them to leave for not wearing them.
