he continues fighting for his place. That's great, you can't say that about a lot of artists who have way better press coverage.
Like the Yeah Yeah Yeahs for instance, or the National, with singers who say meaningless things and yet they always get rave reviews.

Every Morrissey move and quote is commented by the NME and pitchfork, he still pretty lucky. These websites could ignore him and make economical boycotting: Siouxsie for instance spent the 2000s with no support of those websites and that was hard for her to get heard in those conditions. Press has always given original artists a hard time
