Soul love

Only just noticed this the other day. In "We'll let you know"(We will descend
on anyone unable to defend themselves..), Morrissey subtly references Bowie's excellent "Soul love",(Love descends on those defenceless).

Apologies if this is common knowledge or uninteresting. I just had'nt noticed before.

Well... Bowie is always a reference on Morrissey's songs.
According to Stephane's Passions you're totally right:

The line "We will descend on anyone unable to defend themselves" in "We'll Let You Know" may be a twist on "Love descends on those defenceless" from Bowie's "Soul Love"
