Your ideal Moz photoshoot

Inspired by Julie's question on the frink, and opened up to non-frinkers.

If you were a photographer who was given the opportunity to photograph Morrissey for a magazine spread, and you were given full creative freedom, what would the photos be like? Here's my ideas (copy and pasted):


I'm a big fan of the 'Walking Through Rome' shoot, so possibly something similar to that- photos of Morrissey in various beautiful locations in the centre of a city, or possibly the leafy suburbs. I'm thinking at the moment of York, possibly over this bridge:

or in the Shambles, at night perhaps:

Ideally he would be dressed in jeans and a shirt, looking pensive and thoughtful yet relaxed with a magnificent quiff, and the locations would be pretty deserted.

How about everyone else?

My shoot would show a stylized version of his day from the moment he wakes up until he gets into bed at night. I'd tweak the colors and contrast so that everything looked lush.

It would start with him pulling on his bathrobe, naked shoulder-blade teasing us -- shot from behind so we get some back-of-the-neck frink. Then a shot of him in a steamy shower. Just his naked silhouette visible. Then eating a muffin. A rare Moz-eating shot, but nicely done so that he doesn't look gross or barbaric as so many celebrities-eating shots do. All upwardly pointing fingertips lightly gripping the side of the muffin. Aww.

Then he'd put on a Mozesque outfit and I'd take photos of him walking out into the world. Hopefully I'd catch the face of someone recognizing him on the street. Maybe show him feeding birds and squirrels. Perhaps making that tsk-tsk-tsk face that he makes at cute animals.

Then maybe in the studio or at a sound-check, singing with his eyes closed. A close-up here. Hopefully someone will make him laugh so I can get a good shot of that.

Later dinner with friends. Hopefully someone recognizable like Chrissie Hynde would agree to join him for dinner so I could get a nifty photo or two.

Back in his bedroom for the final shot. It's him in bed, naked, with a book... And he's wearing his glasses. There will never be a more perfect photo. The sheets cover his naughty bits in as natural a way as I can arrange them (and I WILL be the one to arrange them), but most of him is visible.

Can someone please call Jake and tell him to do this shoot? ...Please?

suparni and crimes from the forums are photographers so i would to know how the photos would look like, like the surroundings/areas/background etc they would photograph morrissey...do tell

otherwise i would love to see him work with anton corbijn again.
and shooting with jake of course! who has along with anton produced the best shots of him
and not to forget to mention linder...i love her book morrissey shot book.sadly she didnt shot or at least publish pics she did after 1993.i had made a request some time ago..i saw her shooting during the boxers tour 1995 on the introducing video/ you could see f her for a glimpse second) but these pics never made the light of the day or did they?
there are a couple of other photographers but their names escape me right now

: okay quite an unusal person for shooting moz but david la chapelle would be ummm.interesting cause his clients are rather hiphop artists...and his style is diff to the way moz is being photographed...very flashy and kitch-esque, and bright

Me + Morrissey in a bed with white bed sheets and white color walls, white bed table. everything white coloured, the only other color is me + morrisseys colour of flesh.

we'd pose in different poses and cuddle, photos shot both with us with white bathrobes(still under bed sheets) and with us without clothes.

In the 80's, on a writing "session" with Johnny, Johnny strumming his guitar and Moz scribblibg words, sitting on the bed.
In the present, with Johnny, spending a whole day together, friends again... writing together?

That's actually one of the reasons I started photoshopping him, you can have all the fun you want with him

I will not say nude Morrissey, that's our private life together and none of your business.

I've said it before - sobbing in a thunderstorm and "accidentally" catching the eye of the camera. Morrissey is hottest when he's most vulnerable. And outdoor pictures are his best, I think.
