Will you play with me

I have been traveling for the last couple of days and got home last night. My son wanted to camp out with me. So we slept in my room, while mommy slept in my daughters room. They are still young enough to want it so we let them as they won't be asking in the near future.

Well I get up at 530 am and head downstairs. My gear and luggage is still near the front door. I decide it's a perfect time to get it organized so I can spend the rest of the day with family. I dig in and start a load of laundry from the trip. My son comes down around 545. He heads to the backyard, to find some bugs. He comes inside a few minutes later and asks, "Daddy, can you come play with me?". In my haste, I tell him no I am cleaning up. He returns to the backyard

I'm digging through gear, and it sweeps me, I'm usually pretty good at catching this sooner, but I just missed the opportunity to hang with my kid. I drop what I am holding and go outside. My son lights up and says look at this. He has a long balloon and a small pump. He pumps up the ballon and let's it go. It shoots up towards the sky like 40 feet in the air. He lets me do one. We continue this and we are getting loud. We are rooting for it to get stuck in a tree or on the roof. After about 10 minutes I look at him and tell him I like playing with him, he tells me he does too.

I know I have had to say no before to this question, but with reasons that prevented me from actually honoring the request. I am glad today I saw it and took the time
