Perhaps you guys may be interested in this. Gina Acosta Dear Mr. DeCurtis: I can' t tell you how excited I was to discover that you had written the retrospective essay in the new 10,000 Maniacs collection, "Campfire Songs." I am a fan of your writing and look forward to seeing your reports on television as well. However, you should know that you made an egregious error in your "Campfire" essay when you referred to "Everyday Is Like Sunday" as a Smiths song. It most certainly is not Smiths song. The song appears on Morrissey's "Viva Hate," which I am sure you are familiar with. I hope that you will alert Rhino to this blunder and have them correct the mistake in future pressings. Regards, Gina Acosta Subj: Re: Campfire Songs Date: 1/29/2004 10:09:58 AM Eastern Standard Time From: (decurtis) To: Cochitin Dear Gina: Thanks for your kind words. I have dutifully informed Rhino about the misatrribution. I appreciate your pointing it out. All best, Anthony --- Carlos writes: Did you know 10,000 Maniacs have released a best of retro called "Campfire Songs, The Popular, Obscure and Unknown Recording (Remastered) and it includes Natalie Merchant's cover of Morrissey's Everyday is like Sunday? Amazon link. Anyhow, this CD was released in January 27 in the US and will released on February 9 in the UK.
