Morrissey had his longest chat of the night by saying, "In a perfect world, it would be Obama. Nice face. Nice teeth." He said some more that I forgt at the moment but then said. "If the governement truely cared about the environment they would get rid of McDonalds. You know their big marketing slogan One billion Served? It should be one billion killed!" Ahhh...who else but Moz to bring up the largest cause of global warming, mass produced meat.
To those who leave the performance to get a drink. Please don't try to return. You're obviously not a fan if you can't go 90 minutes without alcohol! Get a life and stay home.
Looking forward to someone clear headed with the setlist and tomorrow nights show. Oh and there was no "special VIP ticket" for those of us who got the 5 night pass. Just regular tickets and a warning that the posters will be handed out BEFORE (not after) Friday nights show. Kinda stupid if it gets crushed.

Typical crowd, enthusiastic. It was not sold out. I bought a scalped ticket for $15 (!) at 9 p.m. It was in mezzanine one. Mezz 1 is not a good area unless you're in the very front row. There's a low ceiling and lots of columns blocking the view.

My 2nd show, it was great. The Loop was excellent. Hopefully things will be a little different for Friday, but I'm not expecting it.
GREAT show....but one monster ruined it (know him? (Score:1)
Was anyone else in the left (Boz) side in front of the stage? At the beginning, a drunk and violent man began to push his way through the crowd. He proceeded to HIT a small girl (literally, he just started hitting her) and everyone began to pile to him trying to grab him away. A friend of mine (who is a girl) tried to calm him down and he raised his arms at her and tried grabbing her throat.
Security would NOT throw this man out quick enough, despite everybody SCREAMING and begging and pleading for them to throw him out. They all looked dumbfounded as we screamed "HE'S HITTING WOMEN, THROW HIM OUT, PLEASE"... We were all pointing to him and yelling.
Finally someone came and threw him out.
An hour later, for some reason, this guy is backstage, and he starts to try to walk on stage. Security then grabs him and shoves him back behind a curtain.
Why was he even STILL IN THE BUILDING? How far do you have to go to get kicked out of a show, and how bad is security that they let this man get close enough that he could walk on to the stage?

Songs sounded good overall, the band's obviously very tight after playing for so long together. The Loop was fantastic! Sister I'm a Poet had a bizarre Rock n Roll Part II vibe that I did not expect in the slightest.
BTW, the way the "Maximum Morrissey" deal worked was that if you had a ticket with N-TYPE printed on it (the space that normally says ADULT), you could get in early. No special pass that you got from the box office. I know at least two people got in with M-TYPE tickets as well, so try your best if you've got one of those other tickets.
Looking forward to tomorrow...
My Favorite Show So Far (Score:1)
The crowd around me knew all the words to all the songs, old and new, and were very, very into it without being pushy or obnoxious. Most people danced all night, but we all had our space. Morrissey was warm, charming, chatty and gave 110%. His tamborine work was top-notch, and he was really gyrating very nicely during London. His vocals were perfect.
He looked divine in that first blue shirt with (almost) matching trousers. It took him quite a while to throw a shirt out, but he really worked it - very sexy. Returned in a black shirt, and then on to a "Je Suis Morrissey" T - I almost got a piece of that one.
He played almost everything that I wanted to hear, but "Last Night I Dreamt" was spectacular - he did indeed look as if he were going to break down in tears - I nearly lost it. The band were very tight and really punched it.
Even Kristeen Young wasn't too bad, and I LOVED her bleeding heart dress - bravo.
A few troublemakers, as noted, but overall just a spectacularly warm and intimate evening. I have never loved Morrissey more than I did last night.

Respectable turnout for a Monday night. Like many people, I changed into my Liza Minnelli outfit from work and hopped on the Blue line to get to the venue. The Hammerstein is old and hollow with hard cement floors, but you can tell that at one time, it must have been a beautiful place.
Kristeen Young received some polite applause. Took awhile for the crowd to warm up to her. It's as almost as if they took some perverse pleasure in watching her frustration. I get a kick out of her outfits. She wore a paper doll dress with huge tabs sticking out of the sides.
"On bended knee I kneel to you, New York…" The lads and The Man himself takes the stage and wastes no time. He was struttin' and posing and talking some trash! He took a wrapped gift from a little boy and got a big cheer from the Boz side of the stage. "I love presents…"
Great setlist. Boz and Walker took turns front stage and gave us all a cheap thrill. Moz mentioned an oncoming cold, but otherwise sounded great. When Morrissey starts talking nonsense, you know he is feeling his cherrios.
Other notable quips:
"I know what I know… I know more than I even know…"
"Why am I talking in a Liverpudlian accent when I'm from Yorkshire…" (At that point, a huge thought bubble descended from the crowd and floated up into the rafters)
Highlights for me were "Crashing Bores" which surprisingly turned into a sing-a-long from the Boz side of the stage. The crowd sounded a little like the Harlem Boys Choir with one too many sips of the communion wine. Great to hear "The Loop" complete with standup bass. I started into my Mozmic Dancing and young men around me followed suit. Had a nice yelling contest with the young man next to me. He let me win.
The show ended sometime around 10:40. I loitered around the stage hoping I could find someone who looked like he was collecting presents. I had a little something for The Man. No luck finding anyone.
I wish all the folks with Maximum Morrissey passes a good time. What a treat to see him in New York. It's like having my two great loves together in the same room.
