Following the Joe Mott story I sent in, some of you said you would email him, you obviously did! Here's some of what he had to say in today's Daily Star. 'Morrissey wears a thistle in his fly, because he is a plonker....dour delivery and introspective lyrics annoy me. While Moz fans would squeal if I suggest Frankee had a comparable musical heritage, I do find her rants at an ex-boyfriend infinitely more entertaining. But just to clarify it for all the enraged Morrissey fans who've been bombarding me with abuse. I own a copy of You Are The Quarry. Morrissey inspires a gut feeling of loathing in me.'

For every 'Girlfriend in a coma' he's written a"vicar in a tutu''.
For every "unloveable'' he's written a "frankly mr Shankly"
Vauxhall and I has been my favourite for a while now, but Quarry is the most play out loud with the car window open, and the most uplifting album he's done since "Queen is Dead".
Long live the King, and Happy Birthday, mate.
