If anyone is interested, there is an article found on Bibliomania.com by David Pinching entitled, "Oscar Wilde's Influence on Stephen Fry and Morrissey". The site is devoted to literary classics; it was quite unexpected to see Morrissey included in the "articles" section.

TJ Buchholz writes:

Morrissey was one of several rock icons checking out Chino Moreno (lead singer of the Deftones) and his side project TEAM SLEEP at the Troubaduor on Wednesday, December 19th. Check out this link to the story in the new Kerrang Magazine about the show and an interview with Chino. Link http://www.teamsleep.com/

Excerpt:
Showtime arrives shortly after a dinner break. The Troubadour is packed, and the celeb quotient is fairly high, with Fieldy from Korn, Papa Roach's Coby Dick and Tobin Esperance, Cypress Hill's B-Real, and even Chino's personal hero, former Smiths crooner Morrissey all making appearances.

I just read about Darlington and their album title Louder than Morrissey, unfortunately I don't know much more about this band. They'll play on the 28th February in Cologne, underground. In this review they're described as "pop punk rock" well, as the title of their new album says, they are supposed to play really LOUD! ;)

S: i'm crying right now, so yes.
CB: yes.morrissey made it o.k.

Does this count? I thought it wonderful how the very things Audiogalaxy finds silly about Morrissey, I really love. I think Sadie was that band that toured with Specter not too long ago, so this seems maybe relevant?

Also, saw this at vinylagogo.com - Sadie - "No One's Pretty" - review.

Nice to see that some new bands are still making great music, even if our Moz is not right now...
