The NME Awards nominations are out and Morrissey is up for four (Best Solo Artist, Hero Of The Year, Sexiest Man and Best Dressed), while Morrissey-solo is nominated for best website! I may be wrong, but as far as I can see Morrissey and Morrissey-solo's combined nominations are only surpassed by The Libertines' (including Carl Barat's but not Pete Doherty) - corrections on a postcard please. Or even better, go to www.nmeawards.com and vote, just to make sure.

According to Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet this was Morrissey's rider at the Quart Festival in Kristiansand:

"A pot of tea with two china cups, a bread knife, tissue paper, three candles (from natural products), a Gillette Mach 3 Turbo razor, kosher cheese, organic milk, twelve bottles of Volvic or Fiji water, real butter, marmelade, organic potato chips (crisps), fruit bowl with oranges and bananas, Uncle Sam breakfast cereal, a packet of raisins, two bottles of soy milk, two loaves of bread, eight large towels, eight small towels. In addition the band had an equally long list."

"Fans want Morrissey to come home" - Manchester Online

Whatever you do don't sign it...lets keep him in L.A.

---
Excerpt:

Rumours have been rife in recent months that the vocalist, who grew up in Moss Side and Stretford, is ready to return to live in Manchester, and the petition organisers hope to show how much he is missed.

Carl McDonald, 38, who is himself returning home to Manchester later this year after spending four years in Dublin, says the idea came to him after a discussion with other ‘Moz’ devotees on the internet.

“We were talking about the wonderful changes in recent times in Manchester and how the one thing missing from the city is it’s most famous and most talented son,” he said.

“ We discussed ways of tempting him home, such as promising to force all butchers’ shops in a five mile radius of his home to close down.

“But we settled on the Internet petition idea so that fans from all over the world could join in and help to end this terrible situation.”

Why has the February 1 date now been removed from morrisseymusic.com? It's been there for two months giving us hope that he'll be playing again. Now we haven't a clue.

This is the last song I will ever sing?

The indie porn site Supercult.com (whose owner Chase Lisbon was in the Irish blood, English Heart video) has a page dedicated to Moz tattoos and is accepting photos from fans who have had Morrissey related subjects marked on their skins for life. It is interesting, at the very least.
