At Tony Visconti's website, he has some follow-up information from ROTT's mastering (posted 3.15.06):

"Ringleader of The Tormentors continued with post production work until the middle of December. Some tracks needed tweaking, but I was back home in NYC and Morrissey was still in Rome. We tweaked by e-mails. Emily Lazar of The Lodge masterfully mastered the album, but had to go back to the drawing board three times at our request. We think something must have gone right, because the initial reaction from Moz fans and press has been wonderful. I listen to my white label all the time! Look for the CD release on April 4th, on Moz's Attack label through Sanctuary."

Morrissey show more than sweaty shirts and $35 ticket - The Norman Transcript

Excerpt:

It wouldn't matter if he's 400 pounds and heinous. Morrissey, or 'Moz' for those unable to remember all the consonants, just has that special something that, if bottled, would make billions. Seriously. Famous for his sexual ambiguousness, brilliant lyrics and cocky, Johnny-come-hither voice, though he didn't pack Bricktown Events Center Tuesday night, you can bet your bottom dollar he did bring out the fans.

Some flew from Japan. Others drove from Chickasha. Though security warned me before I approached her, Julia, a superfan for sure, was there too. She wouldn't allow me to interview her, but she did debunk the rumor that she'd attended every Moz show in the past 17 years. "It's only been 10 years," she said, turning her head back to the stage, waiting ever-so-hopeful to see Him.

And while none I questioned could answer the million dollar question ("Why the hell did he pick Oklahoma as two of three U.S. tour dates?"), the fans helped me to understands the sometimes bizarre, always fashionably-dressed underworld of Moz.
