Morrissey plans new release after UK tour - NME.com

Excerpt:

Morrissey is to release a new single after his epic UK tour.

The star hits the road later this month for a massive jaunt to promote his Number One album 'Ringleader Of The Tormentors'. And on May 29, the day after the tour ends, he will release 'The Youngest Was The Most Loved'.

The track is the second to be taken from the new LP, after the Top Ten success of 'You Have Killed Me'.

Ken takes fur wars to the Palace - Manchester Online

...Coun Ken Holt is backing a campaign by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) calling for an end to the slaughter of black bears.

PETA says it can take the entire hide of one bear to make just one guardsman's bearskin.

...PETA has urged members to back its Unbearable Cruelty campaign and write to Buckingham Palace. A spokesman for Prince Charles said he was aware of all of the letters, but would not comment further.

Manchester music legend Morrissey is also backing the campaign.

Nielsen SoundScan Top 100 Albums - Jam

According to SoundScan, ROTT has debuted at #41 in the country that "has placed itself alongside China as the cruelest and most self-serving nation," Canada.

In 2004, YATQ entered the Canadian charts at #37, so not much of a difference, though I don't have the numbers on copies sold as yet.

Seven other albums debuted higher in Canada for the week ending 13 April including albums from Pink, Rascal Flatts, Le Bouthillier Wilfred, The Flaming Lips, Stabilo, Ghostface Killah and highly anticipated various artist compilation, Oh What A Feeling 3, which just edged Moz out of the Canadian Top 40- pretty sad.

His best ever entry in the Dutch album charts until now was You Are The Quarry, which debuted at number 40.
Ringleader of the Tormentors debuts at number 24.

Something must have gone right for him in the Low Countries!
