It has come to my attention through a radio DJ friend that tickets go on sale THIS Saturday (Jan. 15)  for TWO MORRISSEY SHOWS, the 19th and 20th at Avalon on  Lansdowne Street!!!

This venue is general admission....

I just heard the announcement on WFNX radio Boston of 2 Moz shows taking place here in Boston on February 19 and 20 (Saturday & Sunday of president's day weekend). The shows are both at Avalon, a recently-renovated club on Landsdowne Street that now holds 2000. It's a great venue for Him (general admission, no stage barrier, and wait til you girlz see the ladies room). Tix will go on sale through NEXT ticketing (617-423-NEXT).

Looking for confirmation, I rang both NEXT and AVALON and neither person I spoke with had any info for me.

It makes sense, though, that he's playing there rather than the rumored Cambridge, where there's really no suitable venue for Him.

I just got off the phone with the Tabernacle Box Office and they confirmed the date of 2 March 2000 for the show, also tickets go on sale through Ticketmaster 21 January 2000.

I went to the NEXT ticketing web site (www.nextticketing.com) and they do not mention the 2nd show at all. Also, it says that the tickets go on sale on the 15th of January (????).

I talked to some folks at NEXT regarding the Boston dates. Tickets go on sale Saturday January 15th at 11:00am. They will be $27.75 - I too doubt there will be a Cambridge show. The Middle East is perhaps adequate but at any rate these two dates are sure to be brilliant.

YEAH WHOHOO. I don't think anyone knows how tingly i fell right now. Morrissey is coming to Atlanta and i'm so excited! I tried to fly to Vegas but no luck. Does anyone know how one would go about getting tickets via Next Tickets for the Boston show? I anticipate a busy signal when I attempt to call on Saturday, so I want to make sure I (who am nowhere NEAR the Boston area) have a shot at getting tickets.

lifeguard try these two numbers on saturday.
at 11am tickets go on sale over the telephone through next: 617 423 next (this would be touch tone only) 617 423 6000 (this number sends you to a customer rep who can place your order as well). The number for the venue is 617 262 2424 (avalon) but you can not order tickets through them. You can also order tickets through next's website, but I think that starts at 12 noon.
