From VivaKate:

Johnny Marr will be appearing on Rodney Bingenhiemer's (AKA Rodney on The Roq) show ("amaaaazing") either this Sunday or next. It is still up in the air according to Rodney. I am going to try and confirm the date but it will be happening.

This is another Nor Cal J. Marr fan pleading for one of you Los Angelenos to make the KROQ interview available to us folks up here.  And if you're really a fan of Johnny's, you should belong to his e-mail list on onelist.com.

johnny marr has done 1 thing of interest since the smiths broke up. he sang meat is murder with the pretenders. that was very cool. everything else he has done has been rather unimpressive.

Who is Johnny Marr anyways? What does Johnny do? Johnny leaves a groundbreaking group like THE SMITHS for a bunch of one-hit, little talent bands like THE THE and ELECTRONIC. Ohhh, and THE PRETENDERS, the best song they ever performed was probably Meat is Murder. Now old Johnny finally get around to recording a solo album and he wants us all to listen. I don't recall any support for Morrissey or Morrissey's fans, so no support for you!
Don't think I'm just bitter at Johnny because Morrrissey is just as much to blame. They could have easily reunited at CHOCHELLA, but they didn't because they both are to stubborn to say I'm Sorry and get back to playing the music that their fans want to hear. Ever sit and wonder what The Smiths could have been. It's scary, verrrrry scary! NO SMITHS REUNION because two little boys can't grow up and forget the past!
Also, @#!!! KROQ! I live in L.A., and I try to tune it out everyday. KROQ shows no radio support or playtime for Morrissey, or The Smiths. Rodney is mighty weak, also!

THE THE- a little-talented band? F**K YOU! Matt
Johnson is one hell of a writer and musician. You're full of sh*t "Nobody's Nothing" or whatever
your stupid name is...
Long live Matt Johnson. At least Matt stayed pure to himself, unlike our now talentless fat, bald,
and extremely dull Morrissey.

Sugar, when you see your email address, (moz[email protected]), it's not surprising that the only piece of Marr's work to interest you, post-Smiths, is his performance of a Smiths song.

Could you not be just a little bit biased?

Nobody's Nothing; I don't recall any support for Morrissey or Morrissey's fans, so no support for you!

I didn't notice any support from Morrissey for Marr or Marr's fans!

You seem to be forgetting the telegram that Marr sent to Moz on the release of 'Last of the Famous International Playboys' saying how much he liked it, or the numerous post-Smiths comments he has made on the quality of Morrissey's lyrics.

NO SMITHS REUNION because two little boys can't grow up and forget the past

Maybe if you knew what had happened in the past, you wouldn't make such a sweeping statement.

I'm not saying that I know the real reasons for the split of the band, but there were reasons, and it's their choice whether or not to reform and cash-in, as so many other eighties bands have done recently.

Stop being so bitter, listen to the music and judge it on it's merits, rather than hating it before you've given it a chance.

Nobody's Nothing, "They could have easily reunited at CHOCHELLA, but they didn't because they both are to stubborn to say I'm Sorry.."

How could Johnny have joined Morrissey onstage at COACHELLA, when Johnny was in England at the time, and hadn't even been invited to play there?

BIG NOSE, I do judge their music on its merits. I think that Morrissey has put out, for the most part, interesting music and Marr has released little music that isn't truely boring. Do you listen to more Morrissey or Marr solo work? I bet the anwser is Morrissey.
Also, Marr was askied to be a Coachella by Beck. He chose not to go because Morrissey was playing the festival. I find that a bit childish.
Don't think that I am just on Marr's case because Morrissey is by no means perfect. I just think that it is alot for Marr to ask for support when he did little to support us.
As for TIM. @#!!! Matt Johnson. He sucks and he proves it by his record sales. I heard that his last album only sold 6 copies. I see that you were one of the unlucky buyers. Futhermore, if you don't like Morrissey i suggest that you find another site. I would suggest a THE THE fan site, but i'm not sure that one exists.

Sorry the above message was suppose to be posted under Nobody's Nothing.
And for Tim again, I love it how you say OUR Morrissey and then proceed to rip him apart. Morrissey needs less fans like you!

since when does commercial success equal greatness? F**K all of you! I'm a fan of the
old Moz(SMiths & Street era). I'm probably older
than all of you children that like the new boring
Moz. How many of you saw the smiths? You were all
probably sucking your thumbs...

TIM, you are an idiot! If you hate Morrissey so much now than why do you visit this page? Don't you see that it is a Morrissey solo page? There are plenty of Smiths pages on the net so why don't you bless them with your presences.

Also, I see that you are very upset with The Smiths song in a comercial. Don't you understand that Morrissey/ Marr had no control over that. The record company owns the rights to the Smiths!
And what is wrong with that anyways? As far as i am concerned the more people that hear the Smiths the better.

Finally, it is clear that age is not making you more intelligent! And to answer your question,I was around in the Smiths days and I did see the Smiths in concert. It seems that you don't know everything!

Ohhh yeah, @#!!! YOU, too.
your stupid band THE THE doesn't even have a song that is good enough to be included in a commercial!

For the Sake of accuracy, the Smiths own the rights to the Smiths... The record company owns the rights to those 80's recordings that they paid for. And I really don't think they should reunite. I think it would kill me to see them get back together and promptly SUCK, as they have both shown they have a propensity for getting worse as the years go by. Don't get me wrong, I still listen to Smiths records twelve years after the band just sort of disintegrated. But it's over, and I think everyone knows it. I think the best move an undefeated champion can do is retire and hang up the gloves.

"Also, Marr was askied to be a Coachella by Beck. He chose not to go because Morrissey was playing the festival. I find that a bit childish"

This is bollocks! Marr was NOT asked to play at Coachella!! YOU just choose to think this, because you are in love with Morrissey!

hey nothingness, i was never upset over the use of
"how soon is now" in the commercial. get your facts straight jackass! if the Buzzcocks, The Cramps, and The Ramones got a commercials...why not The Smiths? you're too pathetic to argue with.i visit this site every so often just to argue with blind morons like yourself.it's fun inciting anger in all of you blind followers.
