Washington D.C. - 2nd show added (Feb. 28), other tour updates

First noticing the 2nd D.C. show (tickets already on sale) is Shannon Casey:

Ticketmaster's site shows Morrissey playing D.C. 2 nights; February 27th and 28th.

There seems to be some confusion with the Atlanta date... from Robert:

Ticketmaster.com says the concert will be on 2/20, not 3/2. tabernaclemusic.com says it will be on 3/2. does anybody know the real date?

Philadelphia - previously mentioned concert at the Factory is cancelled. From a Y100 representative via Melissa:

...the planned show at the Electric Factory has been cancelled. We weren't given a reason, but there will be no show in Philadelphia.

I'm going to the first show. I'm shocked that Morrissey would play 2 shows in D.C. Is this a sign of the apocalypse? I would go to the second show, but my wallet is saying "no mas." There must've been some demand for these 2 shows. I'm proud of my fellow metro D.C. Moz fans. Jenn, trust me, people have good taste in this area. You just have to dig a little deeper. See ya'll on Feb. 27.

The rumour about a possible Denver show was so out of the blue. Gregg, any additional info to pass along? Does your friend at the Fillmore have any additional info? Please update asap. I'm listeing to Kill Uncle as I type. So sadly under-rated.

About the Atlanta show, I'm pretty sure it's happening on 3/2. According to WFNX in Boston, Morrissey will be playing the 2nd of 2 shows at the Avalon in Boston on 2/20. They've been running promos and giving away tickets on the air, so it's probably a pretty safe bet. Although, I find it interesting that during the promos, they're playing nothing but snippits from Smiths' tunes with a few seconds of "The More You Ignore Me..." being the only solo material. This is a solo tour, Right?

Isn't it such a shame? Why did anyone even waste their breath, one day he is coming, the next day he is not. Oh well, I guess we will just sit here & wait for him, like we always do.

You can't expect him to make EVERY Morrissey fan in the world happy. For him to play in every town or country he has fans in..it would take quite a while. SO if you really want to see him either stretch out and wait til he comes your way or get out the money and go to him!

is anyone else as pissed of as me that he cancelled the philly show? i remember in '97 when he came he got such an incredible response, just ther roar of the crowd was amazing, even better than his reception a few nights later in dc. methinks he should rethink canceling the philly date!!!!!!!!!!!!

The '97 electric factory show WAS great. What if the '00 factory concert was cancelled in favor of
a 2-3 night stint at the tla??? I hate philly, but its got some great places to see a show.

whew, I am so relieved he added another date in DC. I was hoping against hope that he would, especially after I called Ticketbastard to get tickets to the first show and they were already sold out. I just ordered my tickets and got my confirmation and I AM GOING!!!!!! I saw him both in Balto. and DC on the last tour. thank god I am not going to miss him this time either. Oye Esteban!
