    Strange/unexpected Moz references?

    Wow. 13th May 1983.

    Truly disappointing

Rubbish. Moz could have 'played the game' and been like Johnny. Played the role of the non-offensive 80s indie grandpa. He chose to speak out and f*** up his career. He didn't have to. He must have done it for one reason only - he gives a damn.

    Strange/unexpected Moz references?

Is he harmless? You must not tamper with arrangements. Mass immigration is big business. It's a business model. Flood the market with cheap labour who will do the low paid, non-unionised, zero hours contract jobs that no one else will do. Don't f*** with the business model. How the big...

Yep, people don't like the Jews. We get it.

Once I Saw The River Clean

Well spotted / listened. The line is only used in the film, during a location shot, and is not in the original play. The film succeeds in not feeling at all like a play. It feels like a piece of cinema. The use of Manchester dialect in the play and movie is very striking and no doubt one of the...

    Eurovision 2024

When it comes to the subject of Israel or the Jews, goinghome seems to let reality and the facts go out the window. Apparently the Holocaust was morally and ethically in the same ballpark as cancer.

Morrissey attends Dana Gillespie And The London Blues Band at Crawdaddy Club, Richmond (May 10, 2024)

Great to see Moz enjoying the wonderful sunshine that has been gracing these islands for the past few days. There are few things more beautiful than England in May. Perhaps only Ireland in May.

God bless Leo Kearse. Very funny. But also spot on in his analysis here. And it's also bloody terrifying.

    Russell Brand

Sorry, I should have added to the above - or punching his lights out. Either of those options has got to be better than bottling it up inside, telling yourself you are a victim, and then speaking to a Channel 4 documentary several decades later.

Happy Birthday Ashley. An auspicious date clearly.

Jesus of Nazareth, known as "J-dogg" by some

That film was mentioned by Kenneth Anger as an inspiration. Interesting that many see similarities between it and Blood of a Poet, by Jean Cocteau, although Maya Deren denied ever seeing it.

    Russell Brand

You gotta love Douglas Murray. The latest Channel 4 documentary on Spacey alleges that he - wait for it - groped some men. And that makes him a monster apparently, and those he groped 'victims'. What happened to being flattered, saying thanks but no thanks, and getting on with one's life?

    The Dementia Dimension

Very sad. Dementia is one of those diseases that truly demonstrates the existential tragedy of life - life is a cruel joke and the joke is on us. The only response is a great big belly laugh. It is amazing though that he does seem to still be making music. Anyone with a relative with dementia...

Anyone with a pic of John Belushi as their avatar is ok by me. It's a broad church here at Moz Solo.

    It’s not about politics

Interesting that the AstraZenaca vaccine was withdrawn worldwide yesterday. Barely reported on the news. So far at least 81 deaths in the UK related to the vaccine, and hundreds more 'damaged' by it. Shocking. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2024/05/07/astrazeneca-withdrawing-covid-vaccine/

    Morrissey’s view on gender identity

Some irony here, surely. Pay a man in a white coat to do this and it's 'gender affirming care'. Pay some dodgy Norwegian and it's prison sentences all round...
