You can use your PC speakers. Leave them plugged in at the wall, just take out the socket at the back of your PC which connects them up, mine's green, dunno if that's the same on everyone's PC, & plug it in to the wee hole your headphones go on your MP3 player.

That probably made no sense, but I hope it works!

Thanks for that. How about connecting speakers that have four little wires? On my stereo the speakers connect to the back of the stereo via four skinny cables that you have to clamp shut. Any ideas?

You really just need an auxiliary or aux socket and a cable. Try Peats.

Get a connector like at your local radio shack or equivalent, and wire it up like it was a headphone jack, so that the speakers are like the headphones.

You'll need some soldering skills though depending on the type of connector they have.

Only problem with hooking speakers up to it though, is that you may not have enough power from the mp3 player to "drive" the speakers (will not get very much volume out of the speakers).
