how come i can't bring up an old poll/post?

i wanted to bring up the following thread because i think someone was looking for it. and heck, since it's a poll, why not allow allt he new people a shot at it. but the thread is locked for replies. why?

edit: ok, i see it's archived (read only) as is everything which was last replied sometime in 2006. isn't that overdoing it? it was 2006 not too long ago. kewpie is going to go nuts when we start reposting the same polls and topics. God save her...us.
