Big Mouth strikes again by Jude Rogers, New Statesman

There is a "Listen" link that takes you to a very bizarre sounding audio reading of the article.

  • never heard of him but have to congratulate him on his "article" in the New Statesman. Probably every Morrissey related cliche ever has been regurgitated in this "review". I don't know if he really was at this gig but I don't think anybody seeing Morrissey these days could describe him as "effette", "camped up", "embittered dandy" etc. etc. This piece is something written around 1983 which he found in the vaults somewhere and just filled in the songtitles and added the bit about the backdrop (Welsh Richard Burton, what's that to do with anything?) and hoped nobody would notice.

  • this is a terrible 'review' even if you're not a fan, it's a really shoddy peice of writing. Some people get it, and some don't, this twit obviously doesn't. The word 'plonker' springs to mind.
