I don't know if this is well known, but I was on Amazon.com and it shows the US release dates for the new single on 2/20/08 and the new greatest hits album on 3/25/08

Update: 02/20 01:29 GMT: Stephane posted in the comments:

The single is not being released in the USA, well at least not at this point in time. Amazon.com only lists the import, and if you buy it now you will receive it before February 20th. The person who sent in the info got confused thinking that date was the release date.

Chloë's world - The Guardian

Excerpt:

...It's disarming how readily she will sell herself short. Her allure hinges on the easy-going confidence she clearly has in spades and which makes those around her feel more relaxed simply for being in her vicinity.

You can tell she enjoys herself: she laughs readily, and has a nice line in humorous mannerisms - lowering her face, then looking up with raised eyebrows to express disapproval, or opening her eyes and mouth extravagantly wide to register outrage.

But there's an undercurrent of insecurity that manifests itself in anecdotes that often end with her being ignored or humiliated, such as a story about a Morrissey fansite that lays into her whenever she is seen at one of the singer's shows.

"They always make fun of me," she says sadly. "They hate me, they're really nasty." Last Halloween, she dressed as Joan of Arc from the Smiths song Bigmouth Strikes Again, complete with Walkman. "Except that the Sony ones are really hard to find, so I had a Panasonic. And on the website, they said, 'Oh, a Panasonic isn't really a Walkman.' They're such nit-pickers."

She went to see Morrissey play in Miami recently, and saw the website's manager by the hotel pool. "I tried to engage him in civilised conversation - you know, love your enemies - but I don't think he was interested." She collapses in embarrassed laughter...

Morrissey's last single has entered the official german single charts this week at # 68. Though this is obviously not a very high rank, you have to take into account that Morrissey hasn't entered the german single charts that often.

In fact, before this single only four other have ever made it in our charts: Suedehead reached # 29 in 1988, Irish Blood, English Heart # 65 in 2004, First Of The Gang To Die # 83 in 2004 and You Have Killed Me # 65 in 2006.

From this point, the rank isn't bad at all.

In her own words, here is Cindy Guidry's Book Notes essay for her memoir, The Last Single Woman in America:

...I offer you this essay-by-essay playlist of songs that have something or other to do with the associated stories.

THE LAST SINGLE WOMAN IN AMERICA
“I’m Not Sorry” by Morrissey

Not a perfect match, but I think the mood of this song reflects how I was feeling at the time, as I was coming to terms with the choices I’d made. Plus, I like the line I’m not looking for just anyone.
