I like seeing the pictures. I think that Moz probably doesn't mind it much, and they seem to have remained friends. I'm still waiting for that photobook though
I know the story of him and James Maker being chased out of a gay club by homophobes, (and he said he heard polari first spoken by male prostitutes); maybe not ashamed of "being seen to be gay" but traumatised from being chased and seeing James Maker get kicked around by homophobes
Like I said yesterday, you can be a man who likes men and not be "gay". Gay is a bit of an umbrella term these days, meaning not straight. I'm not 100% "gay" but I still use the umbrella term
Humasexual is not straight, he calls himself a humasexual because he's not straight. He was prompted to label himself something other than straight because of his book where he talks about his boyfriends
I also go to pride parades and participate in gay culture because I'm edgy, not because I'm attracted to men. Do gay people even go to pride parades anymore?
I spent years collecting interviews and reading through them, have read his books, read biographies, etc. There is no doubt that this man is queer, whatever term he uses for it. If you're a fan, you should know that
To the credit of England Is Mine, they did include him covering "Give Him A Great Big Kiss" without changing the pronouns, which has been mentioned in a few biographies and is very queer.
He mentioned in Autobiography having bad experiences (and disinterest) with girls (around 13 or so?), and he said in The Observer (December 1992) that he had sex with a man in 1982, so relatively close to this time. You don't have to be "mentally mature" to be sexually active lol
