Reviews in. Haters have hated. You have debated. 2 weeks on what do you think of "World Peace" now ?

Re: Reviews in. Haters have hated. You have debated. 2 weeks on what do you think of "World Peace" n I'm afraid that I'm finding it an increasingly infuriating album, as the songs can mostly be divided into two categories; either musically inventive but lyrically dire, or lyrically inventive...

    1984, 1994, 2004, 2014. What's your favorite studio album from these albums spaced a decade apart ?

Re: 1984, 1994, 2004, 2014. What's your favorite studio album from these albums spaced a decade apa 1. The Smiths- Yes the production may not be brilliant, but its rawness appeals to me to the extent that I regard it as one of Morrissey's greatest works, bettered only by The Queen Is Dead...

Pick your favourite song from each of Morrissey's 10 Studio Albums

Merchandise’s Carson Cox on Morrissey comparison - "I f--king hate Morrissey..."

Can't say I've heard of them either. As misguided as it is though, I daresay the above quote is what most people (in the UK at least) think of Morrissey.

The Moz/Smiths Top 100, Part 260: Treat Me Like a Human Being

Thanks for starting these polls again, Houdini. I enjoyed reading through them when I first discovered Morrissey last year, and look forward to seeing what everyone thinks to the World Peace songs et al. As for this song its a pleasant enough ditty, albeit one that doesn't stay in the mind for...

Morrissey thanks fans for new YouTube videos - true-to-you.net

Just discovered some great videos on this channel.

    Favourite lyric from World Peace

Never spotted that, good find. I agree with those who have mentioned lyrics from Smiler and Mountjoy, those are the songs with the highest overall lyrical quality on the album. I didn't take to the music on those tracks instantly, but since first listening to World Peace exactly a month ago...

Boz interview at The Mouth Magazine

Thanks for posting, strange how half of the questions were actually longer than Boz's answers. It doesn't help that I feel like I'm being constantly shouted at by the questions BEING PRINTED IN BLOCK CAPITALS. At least we finally have an ever-so-slightly-vague answer as the why People Are the...

warrenpeace launches a scathing attack on Moz - "FRNKLYSTVN"

Re: warrenpeace launches a scathing attack on Moz I can just about make out the second verse.... "You're working class for the middle classes Reaching for our money with your NHS glasses -Something about girls- Deciding factor for a greasy-backed quiff Lets not forget about a shock tactic...

Debates are Over: Time for a Vote: First of the Gang to Die vs. Staircase at the University

First Of the Gang. If your looking for World Peace's equivalent of the "catchy obvious lead single" then Kiss Me A Lot would be a better fit.

"Hatful..." in "10 Albums That Close With Their Shortest Song" - Music Times

Thanks for posting. The only other Moz album I can think of off the top of my head where this is the case is the beautiful There Is A Place In Hell For Me And My Friends for Kill Uncle (though Found Found Found is only seven seconds longer).

    WPINOYB: Unofficial Video

Another great video, though the "treasure the day" line repeats itself around the five minute mark. At this rate you and Adeptly_Inept will have a film for the entire album!

    Happy 17th birthday to “Maladjusted"

I've always regarded it as Morrissey's most underrated album. I am eternally grateful that Sorrow was removed from the UK edition and Ammunition and He Cried are fairly bland, but other than that it is superb.

Which Moz' "Hard Rock" album is better, Southpaw Grammar or Years Of Refusal?

Both have grown on me, but whilst Refusal contains what could be some of the worst songs in Morrissey's catalogue (Black Cloud, Sorry Doesn't Help) nearly every song on Southpaw is great. I especially love Boy Racer.

Oddly enough, this song has greatly grown on me since I watched this video.

Is Vauxhall And I Better Than Any Smiths Album?

That Joke Isn't Funny Anymore, Well I Wonder and Barbarism Begins At Home (and How Soon Is Now on certain editions) are all great tracks, the rest I can give or take I'm afraid. I'll give it another listen.

Is Vauxhall And I Better Than Any Smiths Album?

Vauxhall is good but not great, with Viva Hate, Your Arsenal and possibly Quarry (despite some lyrical gaffes) all superior albums. But I'd still regard it as better than what is by far the worst Smiths album, Meat Is Murder.

First of the Gang to Die vs. Staircase at the University

First of the Gang wins anyday. Its among Morrissey's catchiest songs and, as was said in that "possible hits" thread the other day, could have got to number 1 if it had been the lead single off Quarry.

Harvest ends contract with Morrissey - TTY

Re: Harvest Ends Contract with Morrissey - TTY Shit. So now he's basically back to where he was twelve months ago? At least we got a pretty good album out of it.
