A very trustworthy source close to Morrissey has further revealed to Morrissey-solo that:

Morrissey is 100% confirmed as Very Special Guest to Jaguares for three concerts in September. The dates are:

12 September (Thurs) San Diego - Open Air Theater
13 September (Fri) San Francisco - Greek Theater
14 September (Sat) Anaheim - Arrowhead Pond

Tickets for these concerts will be on sale in two weeks time. Morrissey will perform prior to the Jaguares, and there is a third on the bill that is rumored to be Dashboard Confessional.

We always leave the sound on the TV on whenever we go anywhere to make it seem as if though we were at home. As we were walking in the door I heard, "so we go inside and we gravely read the stones, all those people, all those lives, where are they now?" It is always awesome to hear a Morrissey song on such mainstream media such as HBO ("The Yound And The Dead" - a documentary on the Hollywood Memorial Cemetary). I have not seen the end of the show as I am typing this but I will check for the credits and let you know. Love and peace.

Update: 05/25 19:34 GMT: An anonymous person also writes:

What self respecting cemetery documentary would even think of excluding The Smiths' Cemetry Gates in the soundtrack? None, I guess. The new America Undercover documentary on HBO, The Young and the Dead, includes nearly the entire track starting about 45 minutes in.

The documentary details the purchase and renovation of the Hollywood Memorial Cemetery, which includes such residents as Rudolf Valentino, by a group of friends from the mid-west who plan to bring the cemetery into the future by adding new technology to the burial process (e.g. a film production unit creating "memorial" clips of the deceased).

Curiously, I don't remember hearing any other topical music by known artists included in the soundtrack.

A word of warning on the festival from Glen:

A word of warning to those contemplating travelling to Japan (or those who are in Japan) for the Summer Sonic Festival featuring Moz. According to the terms and conditions for the Summer Sonic festival ticket agent, there will be no refunds or exchanges should the Moz pull out for some reason.

If you can read Japanese then you can find these at

https://eee.eplus.co.jp/eplus/mkrk01.asp

Considering that a one-day ticket cost US$100, I just thought it pertinent to warn people about this. I have been burned this way before on the Kill Uncle tour in Australia, 1991, when Moz got a sore throat and went home 2 hours before he was scheduled to appear. I only found out after driving three hours to Sydney and reading a notice on the gates of concert venue. Fortunately I was able to get a refund that time, but I won't this time if the same thing happens.
