Matthew Muñoz sends the news from the Billboard Bulletin, Feb. 20, 2004:

CAA Signs Morrissey
Morrissey has signed with Creative Artists Agency. At deadline, there was no official word of a tour in the works. The reclusive rocker last played U.S. dates in 2002 as part of the Revolucion tour, which paired him with Latin rockers Jaguares. On that outing, Morrissey was booked by Marsha Vlasic at MVO Ltd.

Morrissey will release a new studio album, “You Are the Quarry,” May 18 on Sanctuary.

There is a rumor that Morrissey might record a duo with Mikel Erentxun (who has previously covered "there is a light that never goes out" and "everyday is like sunday."

Article:
Mikel Erentxun- 10 years of being solo.

2004 marks one decade in the career of Mikel Erentxun. To celebrate, Erentxun plans to release three albums, he tells mundorockero.com. The first, will be an album with all the singles, with one new track, a much rumored duet with former Smith’s frontman Morrissey. “ We met while I was on tour in Los Angeles”, Erentxun says of Morrissey. “I approached him with the idea of recording together… he agreed, but I haven’t spoken with him since.”
The second album is to contain rarities and B-sides recorded throughout this solo career, and the final album will be a live recording done in Spain.

The full-length interview with Mikel Erentxun will be posted shortly!

not really important but since there is a buzz in Melissa at the front page, here's an entry from her tour diary

the night before last we played in the beautiful city of cambridge england. it is a big university town and wow were the ears and eyes eager for rock music! it was such a fun show with a lively crowd. we topped off the night with a dance party in our shabby dressing room drinking guiness and dancing to thin lizzy, outkast, the refused and the smiths.
