me and my 10 year old son loved every minute, its the sage who should shoulder any blame if people were unhappy because its not a normal venue as its mainly orchestral and sinfonies and the like who perform there and they stop you from drinking pop ( my son's pop was confiscated apparently on mozzers orders, and the staff were constanly on peoples backs for using camera phones) and there is some kind of legal thing where if an act go past 10.15 pm they are charged an extra fee by the council so thats why he probably didn't do the encore. but i think he did enough as it was

It's in the Essential album 'readers choice' section ('Best Moz album since Your Arsenal or maybe even The Smiths) but Q would've given it the 4 stars.

"MY name is Sascha Distel,” declared Morrissey to the expectant Whitehaven crowd, “and I’d like to welcome you to an evening of French drama.”

Flanked by his band, all decked out in Playboy bunny T-shirts, the bequiffed one then proceeded to take a bow, before launching into First Of The Gang To Die to rapturous cheers from the 600 capacity crowd.

It was a stirring opening to a memorable night, intensified by the passion in which the crowd sang in unison with the “He stole all hearts away…” line in the song. Never a truer word said.

There is now a new forum format (vBulletin) installed for general Morrissey-related and off-topic discussion.

Since the software that runs the new forums is completely new and different than existing software on the site, new usernames will need to be registered in order to post, unfortunately.
