I received this anonymous submission, can anyone confirm or deny? This is certainly a possibility as several were offended by Kristeen's comments during Tuesday's concert (see: New York, NY - Hammerstein Ballroom (October 23, 2007) post-show). It could all be a hoax too.

An anonymous person writes:
Kristeen Young is has been fired from the tour. As soon as her set was over on Tuesday night, she was met in her dressing room by the tour manager, who informed her she would not be included on the rest of the dates. She has an appointment to pick up her belongings on Friday. She will be touring briefly with Ted Leo and The Pharmacists this November.

I have been a part of the beta of a soon-to-be-released online PC game called Hellgate:London from Flagship Studios. In the second hub (or player town), there is an NPC (Non Player Character) with a recognizable black quif named "Steven Patrick". Speaking to this character will reward the player with quests to complete with names such as "Panic!" and "Bigger Than Others". He also quotes from "How Soon Is Now" and "Panic" when you speak to him.

The game is due out in the USA October 31st, and there is a thread on their forums about the Easter Egg here (registration required).

Re-embracing Morrissey - A.V. Club

Publicly admitting a fondness for Morrissey sometimes seems like inviting derision, but after seeing him play in Waukegan, Illinois the other night, I’ve gotta say it out loud: The Moz still has it. (Admitting affection for The Smiths, on the other hand, is applauded loudly—a bit strange. And when are they going to be inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, anyway?)

Morrissey Week has arrived in New York City!

With the man himself gracing Hammerstein for five nights, The Sons & Heirs (NYC’s tribute to The Smiths & Morrissey) are very excited to once again host a very large and absolutely fun afterparty at BB King’s , following Mozzer’s Saturday show.

We have a wonderful set list planned for the night with a lot of material we didn’t play last time. With a tiny ticket price ($1), a wide stage, a great sound system and a large crowd ready to dance and sing, this promises to be a memorable evening.

Please join us, even if you haven’t got a stitch to wear!
