Last night i went to see a free festival gig in Manchester, a pre European Champions League Final show, in Exchange Square, Manchester.
It was a music and comedy night and the second last act was Damon Gough aka Badly Drawn Boy appearing on his own. It had predictably pissed it down all night, though had stopped when BDB came on. After he finished his 4 songs, comedian Dave Spikey closed the show and after a few minutes I decided to leave to get the bus home, catch the off licence and chippy before they shut.
Then today i read in the Manchester Evening News that Damon came back on with Andy and Mike to join Spikey in a karaoke version of 'Amarillo'.
To say I was gutted to miss this was an understatement!
