The George is one of the few remaining traditional British pubs in Leeds city centre. There is a friendly personable atmosphere, where customers are made to feel very welcome by both staff and regulars alike. The new licensees are reviving the pubs fortunes following a long spell of relief managers - for instance reopening the small beer garden and introducing satellite TV and would welcome any suggestions for events or theme nights that customers would be interested in. The George also has a beautiful function room with private bar & toilets which can be hired free of charge to parties of over 50. Stephanie Powers opened the pub in May 2000.
