It's not one of my favourites either...
Moz, however was/is quite fond of it - as he mentioned in a KROQ radio interview ca. 1990 (DJ wanted to play "What difference" but Moz picked "I Keep Mine Hidden").
Too sad, it was the last Morrissey/Marr tune The Smiths recorded..*sigh*...

Underrated. Although not one of their best, it still has some great lyrics ...

Sorry, but how can you not love that?! Just brilliant lines.
One of my favourite songs, I love how up-beat and cheerful it sounds, almost flippant with the whistling, but then these quite melancholy lyrics of regret... just beautiful. But then I always seem to like the largely unpopular songs somehow!
