Is it just me or is the book really hard to find?
I've looked everywhere for it and can't find a copy anywhere so have had to order it from Amazon who can't deliver it til early Feb!
Hope it's worth the wait.

hmm...i saw a copy at my local record store....alas, it was wrapped in plastic so i couldn't sneak a quick peek to see if its worth it or not...

It's VERY worth it. The idea is not new and was "borrowed" from a guy who did an excellent book of the same format on The Beatles.Revolution In The Head was the title and that was an amazing book.

It is widely available in the U.K so I can only assume you are in the U.S.A.Pity that.

yeah, but is it strictly a discography of "the italian release of this album was printed on a hershey bar wrapper in Nice"?

i can really live without it if its like that. and that's what i was trying to see.

It really is worth it Suzanne. If you want to know the stories behind the songs and how they came about then it is essential. It gives much more meaning and depth to songs by a band that basically changed peoples' lives.
Buy it and if is bad you can blame me
Personally I think it is a must. I would say "The Severed Alliance","Peepholism" and this one should be in everyones collection.

It is most definitely worth it.

I agree with Johnny's sentiments completely - STSYL is a fantastic, informative book and a must for any ardent Smiths fan.

not that you've ever been completely trustworthy, but i did complete the said purchase just this afternoon. we shall see.
