Uk bans You Tube music videos...

Then just watch other types of videos. Meet me where?

I am guessing this is because of failed deal with record companies? Just another poor move on the part of record labels, I have often listened to songs on youtube and then went and found the album.

It was bad enough when WMG was making people strip the audio off their videos, now this! Grrrrrr

So I'm confused. If I were to post a youtube video in here (I live in America) you wouldn't be able to view it in the UK? How does this work? Or does Uk stand for something else and I just made an ass of myself. (Not that I haven't perfected that in other ways but I like to at least sort of know what's going on.)

In short, how can a country ban a piece of code?

Yeah, I heard about this too, but I set up my account in the US, and I can still watch videos.... My profile still says United States, so if you guys change your settings or something to say that you are in the US, will that make a difference. What exactly happens when you try to watch a video, or do videos show up in your search results at all?

Edit: I just tried watching some other videos, and get a message saying "this video is not available in your country." WTF? But some videos I can still watch. It wouldn't let me watch the video for Suede's "Beautiful One's" for instance, but it lets me watch the video for "Common People?" Very weird.
