World Peace enters the global album chart at number

Re: World Peace enters the global album chart at number ...

Is this good news or bad news? I have no idea about charts.

Morrissey would have sold so much more if he'd released a proper video for the first single with him actually singing in it and with a group of backing dancers throwing daring shapes around him while he twerks over the chorus. Works for Beyonce!

Gah, this doesn't seem to want to post.
I'll try again. :'(

....

That's pretty bad on reflection, but not surprising given the decline in record sales overall, for everyone. Coupled with the lack of promotion.
Does anyone have reliable information about first week record sales for his previous albums?
I found this thread where the last post says Quarry sold 74,000 in its first week and ROTT sold 62,000... but that was in the UK alone I think?

It's at number 26 in week two with an extra 25,000 sales.
That makes a total of 83,000 sales worldwide to date.

He's dropped out of the global album charts in Week 3 so must have sold fewer than 18,000 copies.
He might have just made 100,000. For comparison, Quarry sold over 1,000,000 eventually.

I wonder how this compares with worldwide book sales of 'Autobiography?'

WPINOYB #194 in the Billboard 200. Five spots above The Beastie Boys Licensed to Ill and 16 below Fleetwood Macs Rumours. Ouch.
