I have a piece of cake that's been in the refrig for the last 16 days. The last piece and it keeps getting forgotten.

Should I eat it?

Yes. It's perfectly fine. I would eat it right away to make you sure do not forget it again.

Bon apetite.

I suppose if it doesn't look like this it's probably O.K.

But then again , is it really worth the chance of an even mild case of gastrointestinitis ?

It is chocolate cake with chocolate icing/frosting.

That's the problem with a lot of people today..... they want their cake and want to eat it:D

i ate the last piece of my wedding cake after a year of it being frozen.

...a tradition i've heard of, or some shhhhhhit.

Our top layer never lasted the year, though we had every intention of saving it. Who in their right mind leaves cake for a year?

MMMM , That looks like Devils Food Cake . It actually keeps rather well , so it should still be rather tasty .

It was called "Fudge Supreme Two Layer."

And it was tasty!

it was wrapped in foil and frozen in the freezer.

i'll tell you this: it was better than the marriage!

Anyone else reminded of when Homer Simpson could not put down his sub hero sandwich? He wanted to save it no longer how long it took him to finish.

Ahh the rotten sandwich...
