You're right, the sarcasm was in bad taste. I suppose I was bothered that you implied that you expect God to save us from these sorts of tragedies and that, now, everything will be ok if we only pray. But don't ask for mercy now for the country. Pray for the victims and their loved ones. As for the countries future, that is why we have free-will. Look to God for guidance not for the solution. If we expect God to protect us from these events in the future, then you don't understand what is expected of us here on earth.
