Blackpool info please

Yes, Blackpool. Anyone here who lives there?
Looking for nice pubs where maybe they play some alternative music.
Also looking for some decent not too expensive places to eat.
Will be there 17-20th of this month.

Sorry to laugh, but it's Blackpool?

I once called into a plastic Irish pub in Blackpool for a quick drink before last orders. They had an Oirish band on who closed the night with words along these lines "Well, thank you all for coming to *insert pub name* where you will always find a friendly welcome. You've all been great, so until next time... Goodnight and God Bless". About ten seconds later a bouncer came in, took the pint from my hand and said "Right, f*** off were closed".

Blackpool's great, as long as you go there expecting cheap and cheerful!! Which it usually is, though the last time I went it just had the same pubs as everywhere else in the UK! There used to be a drag club there called Funny Girls or something like that, just behind the winter gardens I think, that was a cracking night out. Not classy, but definately fun.

The last time I walked down Blackpool sea front, after a Mozz gig, I witnessed a man so drunk that he had pumelled himself almost to death falling down. It might be nicer by day though.
