Moz should do a covers record

I have always thought that this would be a great idea.

I thought the cover of Street Life was disastrous and Moon over Kentuck just dull. Still, his covers are almost always fantastic.

I loved hearing Moon Over Kentucky live... was the highlight of an otherwise crappy concert for me in London (Alexander Palace - bad show). I thought he sang this beautifully Ghostie - it's a gorgeous song!

well rather a cover album than no album, but one of the things I love about Morrissey is his lyrics, so I would miss that alot.

I thought his cover of Patti Smith's "Redondo Beach" was brilliant.

I'd welcome a covers record. I think Morrissey shines best with his own songs, but who's to say a covers album wouldn't be equally great? I mean, if he chose songs he loved and had a real passion for, it could come off well. I'd love to hear him try some Nico. He loves "All That Is My Own," so maybe that one. I've always felt a kinship between their vocal styles, as odd as that may sound!
