Promotional posters etc, etc

Does anybody know if promotion material such as posters or anything else exists for the following tracks/Albums:

  • Shakespeare's Sister
  • Handsome Devil
  • Some Girls are Bigger Than Others
  • Cemetry Gates
  • There is a Light That Never Goes Out
  • Beethoven Was Deaf
  • Interesting Drug
  • Glamorous Glue
  • Sister I'm a Poet

Pictures would be wonderful too.
These are all tracks that I'd love to see promo stuff from but I've never had the joy....I'll just have to daydream until then.

My knowledge of posters is very limited but

Handsome Devil
Cemetry Gates
Glamorous Glue
Sister I'm a Poet

were never singles so more than likely no posters were made.

Some Girls are Bigger Than Others was only a single in Germany so maybe RTD made a poster for that, I have no idea.

There is a Light That Never Goes Out was only a single in France but the image of the boy with the ice lolly was used as a tourposter.

I am sure someone with a bigger nose can elaborate:)

I love the posters for Beethoven and Playboys (just picked one up), they are still in tubes though.

There is a US promo CD5 for Glamourous Glue btw.

Mikael,
We've never met, so how do you know I've got a huge nose? :lbf:

I have looked at vulgar picture but it still lacks some things when it comes to posters.

The posters on Flax's site are mine - most of my poster collection is there - Queen is Dead and Hand in Glove are currently framed - so they will be scanned and uploaded the next time I swap them around. Louder than bombs is too big for the scanner (and not a great image to be honest). Sorry if they don't meet with your approval - I'm very happy with them, especially as Flax tidied up all of the imperfections in them.

There are some more listed here - but not as good quality http://www.rock-explosion.com/catpage5.html No Shakespeare's Sister though.

I'm still looking for
  • This Charming Man
  • What difference
  • William
  • Shakespeare's Sister
  • Bigmouth

So, if anyone has a copy of the above that they'd like to sell, please let me know (I'm getting tired of asking...)

There's another Solo-er that has a full set (grlmopz, I think) it was their photo in the NME that got me collecting them :)

All I am after is (12 x 24)

Hand In Glove
This Charming Man
What Difference Does It Make

For some reason, I have 2 shoplifters 12 x 24's

Actually, I am looking to get a couple of 60 x 40's framed. Any one any ideas of best place to order from (UK)?

Cheers

You are correct - I'm the one with the full set adorning my walls. Gorgeous, they are.

Any chance you could re-post the photos of your lovely walls?

I copied them for inspiration, but I've lost them somewhere down the line...

Oh don't get me wrong, Vulgarpicture.com is an absolutely wonderful website and it's put together very well!!..I glance through it quite often.
Hey Dave2006, is your poster from Louder than bombs the large orange one that looks just like the cover of the record?..its about 3 X 2.5 feet.

Dave (or anyone else who might know),

do you know if there where promotional posters for World Of Morrissey with the Cornelius Carr image (20"x30")? I have never seen any.

If anyone is after the large Boxers tour posters (see below), there are a handful of original copies at Empire Exchange, 1 Newton Street, Piccadilly, Manchester (on the corner of Piccadilly and Newton Street, next to the 'Max' photograph shop).

I think they are £10 each, I can ask tomorrow as I need to nip in there anyway.
They can post them to you too if you send in a cheque or paypal me.

hmmmm. i wonder what your doing round there?

Empire Publications (my publisher) also own Empire Exchange (the shop), but the publishers office is not in the city centre, so I drop stuff off / collect stuff from them there.
Just thought I'd let you know that before you accuse me of regularily purchasing some of their (ahem) dodgy porn in the far corner:thumb:

PM Sent Phil, Thanks.
