I think I bought something like 60 CDs this year and I can't even remember what most of them were. And I was mostly filling in the holes with classics, anyway. Newish stuff that sounded good:
Belle & Sebastian's 'Legal man' single
'Blood and mood' by Bad Livers
'Nixon' by Lambchop
'Noises made by people' by Broadcast
'Kid A' by Radiohead

Except for the Radiohead one and other few worth buying I haven't purchased any cds this year...the internet has been my primary music provider. What I'm eagerly looking forward to is getting the Nomadjukebox i ordered from amazon yesterday, can't wait to get all those mp3 cds together in one single gadget. I can see myself classifying all those songs into multiple categories, just like the guy in High Fidelity... I hope it's as good as the reviews say it is...
